Every community has helpers who make it a safe and happy place to live. In this webquests, you will learn about different community helpers and how they help people every day.

Learning objectives:
Students will identify different community helpers.
Students will describe the jobs of community helpers.
Students will create a group presentation about a community helper.
Task
In this WebQuest , students will work together in small groups to create an informational poster about a commuity helper. Each group will research one community helper. The poster will include the community helpers name,a discription of the job they perform, tools or uniforms they use and an explanation of why this role is important
Process
Step 1 - You will be placed into small groups of 3-4 students.
Step 2- Each students will have a special role :
- Project researcher: Finds information about a community helper ( Their role in the community, Tools and uniforms they wear, why their job is important)
- Illustrator : Draws or find pictures ( Uniforms , community helper in the community )
- Writer : Helps to write short sentences given the information from the research.
- Presenter : Shares the project with the class.

Step 4 - Work together to create your project.

Evaluation
Your Project will be graded using the following rubric -
- Understanding the community helper roles in the community and what they do. (3 points)
- Teamwork and participation (3 points)
- Creativity and Pictures (3 points)
- Clear presentation and Explanation ( 3 Points)
Total points - 12 points
