Understanding Climate Change: Our Role in Protecting the Earth

Introduction

Have you noticed that the weather today is more unpredictable than before—stronger typhoons, hotter days, and heavier rainfall?  These changes are not random. They are signs of climate change, a global issue that affects everyone, especially countries like the Philippines.

In this WebQuest, you will explore what climate change is, what causes it, and how human actions contribute to it. You will also discover how young people like you can help protect the Earth for future generations.

 

Task

You will work in groups of four to create a Climate Action Awareness Project. Your final output may be a poster, infographic, slideshow, or short video that explains:

  • What climate change is
  • Its main causes and effects
  • How climate change affects the Philippines
  • Practical actions students can take to help reduce climate change

Your project will be shared with the class to promote environmental awareness.

 

Process

Follow these steps:

  1. Form a group of four members.
  2. Assign roles (researcher, writer, designer, presenter).
  3. Use the provided websites to research climate change.
  4. Discuss your findings and organize the important information.
  5. Choose a format for your Climate Action Project.
  6. Create your project using available digital tools.
  7. Review your work for accuracy, clarity, and creativity.
  8. Present your project to the class.
