Human health, the environment, and even parts of the functioning of the Earth’s systems, such as the climate, are all significantly impacted by pollution. Every region in the world is affected by pollution. The food we eat, the water we drink, and the air we breathe are all having an impact on our health. Nearly 19 million premature deaths occur each year as a result of how we use natural resources to support global production and consumption, which have an impact on the environment.

Your task is to learn different types of pollution. You will be placed into four groups where your task will be research into websites and create a chart of presentation to teach the class about the different types of pollution. Group one will learn about Air Pollution. Group two will learn about Land Pollution. Group three will learn about Noise Pollution and group four will learn about the Water Pollution. Each group will have a reader, an illustrator and a timekeeper. You will have two 60 minute periods to research your sites and complete your presentation for the class.

The teacher will divide the class into four groups. The students will be given time to research their assigned topics in different websites.
The groups will be given chart paper, colored markers, pencils, and paper for notetaking.
Each group will be needing a laptop to research their assigned topic. The teacher will set the timer for groups to begin.
Groups will work together to answer questions on their worksheet given to them by the teacher.
On day two, the groups will use the information on their worksheets to create a chart/presentation to share with the class. They can create a web, illustrate, or list details about their topic.
On day three groups will present to the class about their topic. The class will take notes on a worksheet divided into the four topics.

The students will work cooperatively to complete a clear group presentation. They will identify and answers the assigned questions. Students should receive a score of 75% to be considered proficient on this assessment.
