In this WebQuest, you'll become ecosystem explorers, investigating the importance of biodiversity and the threats it faces. Get ready to research, analyze, and propose solutions for protecting our planet's incredible variety of life!

Your team will choose an ecosystem (from a pre-approved list or with teacher approval) and investigate its biodiversity. Your final product will be a multimedia presentation that includes:

• Ecosystem Profile: A detailed description of the ecosystem, including its location, climate, dominant plant and animal species, and key ecological relationships.
• Biodiversity Assessment: An analysis of the ecosystem's biodiversity, including the number of species present, the evenness of their distribution, and any keystone species.
• Threats to Biodiversity: Identification of the major threats to biodiversity in the ecosystem (e.g., habitat loss, pollution, climate change, invasive species).
• Conservation Strategies: Proposed solutions for protecting and restoring biodiversity in the ecosystem.
• Action Plan: A concrete plan for how individuals and communities can take action to support biodiversity conservation.

1. Form Teams & Choose Ecosystem: Divide into teams of 3-4 students and select an ecosystem from the list provided by your teacher.
2. Assign Roles: Within your team, assign the following roles:
