Introduction
Have you ever noticed how people switch between past, present, and future tenses when telling stories, writing posts, or even singing songs?
This WebQuest will help you explore how English verb tenses are used in real-life situations — not just in grammar drills. You’ll observe, analyze, and then apply what you’ve learned by creating your own creative piece: a vlog or diary using correct and meaningful tenses.
Task
In this activity, you will explore how verb tenses are used in real-life situations. You will find examples of past, present, and future tenses from songs, vlogs, or diary entries and explain how changing tenses can affect meaning.
After exploring, you will create your own output — either a 2–3 minute travel vlog script or three diary entries written in different tenses.
Finally, you will present your work to the class to show your understanding and correct use of verb tenses. This activity will be completed within two class sessions — one for exploration and one for creation and presentation.
Process
Follow these steps carefully to complete the task:
Step 1: Read and review the rules and examples of past, present, and future tenses.

Step 3: List down examples of sentences that use past, present, and future tenses. Discuss what makes each one different in meaning.
Step 4: Choose your output (Travel Vlog or Diary).
Plan your storyline and decide where you’ll use each tense.
Step 5: Create your final draft or video, ensuring that tenses are used correctly and meaningfully.
Step 6: Present your work in class or upload it to a class platform (Google Drive).
