Physical Health and Sports

Introduction

These days we spend more and more time studying indoors, forgetting about the fun and the importance of sports. This assignment will help you to understand physical health a little bit better. And it’s also a great opportunity for you to talk about the activity you like!

Task

Your task for today is related to sports!

Your goal is to:

♦  Read the article.

♦  Do a web search on your favorite sport.

♦  Create a small presentation.

Process

Follow these steps:

1) Read the article about health. Only read the paragraphs about physical health.

https://wiki.kidzsearch.com/wiki/Health

2) Answer the following questions about the article:

♦ What is physical fitness?

♦ What can a physically fit person do on average?

3) Choose one sport you like. Find an article about it on these websites:

♦  KidzSearch https://wiki.kidzsearch.com/wiki/Main_Page

♦  Kiddle https://www.kiddle.co/

♦  FactMonster https://www.factmonster.com/

4) Answer the following questions about your sport:

♦ Do you do it alone or in a group?

♦ Does your sport need any equipment?

♦ If it does, what kind of equipment do you need?

♦ What body parts do you use while doing your sport?

♦ Do you participate in this sport for fun, to stay healthy, or to compete with others? (You can choose multiple answers)

♦ Tell a fun fact you know about your sport.

5) After you have answered all of the questions you need to prepare the presentation! Use a PowerPoint or Google Slides to make your presentation. Put one question and an answer on one slide. You must make a slide for all of the questions (including the questions about physical health). Don’t forget to add pictures to your presentation.
