English-Parts of Speech 3rd Grade

Introduction

Have you ever wondered what makes up a sentence? Well I will be teaching you about parts of speech, including nouns, verbs, and adjectives.

Task

You will work in groups and I will give you 3 sentences. You will have to work together to figuire out the different parts of speech.

Ex. The cat purrs loudly.

Noun: Cat

Very: Purrs

Adjective: Loudly

You will present your findings to the class and tell us your favorite adjective.

Process

1. You will be put in groups of three and every sentence you will identify a noun, verb, or adjective. Make sure to switch it up so you don't have the same one.

2. Assign roles: Noun, Verb, Adjective

3. Take Notes on what you realized when using nouns, verbs, and adjectives.

4. Come up with three new sentences to present to the class.
