Introduction
Imagine waking up one day to greater typhoons, hotter weather, and rising floods in your community. This is not science fiction; it is happening right now as a result of climate change. In this WebQuest, you will take on the role of a young environmental campaigner investigating the causes, effects, and potential solutions to climate change.
Task
You will collaborate in groups to develop a multimedia presentation (slideshow or short movie) that explains:
What is climate change?
It has substantial causes and repercussions.
Possible approaches that students, families, and communities can adopt.
Your finished project will be presented to the class and published on your school's web portal.
Process
Form groups of four to five kids.
- Assign duties within your group (researcher, writer, designer, presenter, and fact-checker).
- Visit the available resources to gather reliable information.
- Make an outline of your presentation.
- Create your presentation (using Canva, PowerPoint, or a video editor).
- Practice as a group.
- Showcase your work in class.
