Introduction

Learning Objectives:

- Telling time to the half-hour

- Recognizing clock components

- Relate time to daily activities

Guided Questions:

- What do you notice about the clock?

- What do the numbers on the clock mean?

- What time do you eat breakfast/lunch/dinner?

- Can you show me the time you wake up on a clock?

Task

This will be a project that the students will go into groups for and have to create a time schedule using clocks of what there days look like at school.

Process

First, students will go into their groups that I will assign. Then, they will plan out what there day looks like from when they arrive to everything they do to when they leave. Once they figure that out I will have them draw the clocks with the times they have done those activities in school. They will then present to me their projects and explain each time of the day and what they are doing at that time in school.

Evaluation

Students projects will be evaluated on the correct times they have drawn on the clocks, as well as there presentation on the project.

Conclusion

Students will be able to tell times through the project that they are doing with their classmates. https://www.iknowit.com/lessons/a-telling-time-half-hour.html
