Mission: Plastic-Free Planet

Introduction

In our daily lives, plastic is everywhere—from food packaging to household items. While it’s convenient, plastic waste has become one of the biggest environmental problems in the world. In this WebQuest, you will become an Eco-Detective tasked with finding solutions to reduce plastic waste in your community.

Task

You will work in groups to create a Plastic-Free Action Plan for our school and community. Your final product will be a presentation that:

  • Explains the problems caused by plastic waste

  • Suggests at least 5 practical solutions

  • Includes visuals (charts, images, or infographics)

  • Encourages others to take action

Process

Process:

  1. Form groups of 4–5 members.

  2. Assign roles (researcher, writer, designer, presenter, fact-checker).

  3. Visit the provided online resources and take notes.

  4. Create your Action Plan using a presentation tool (PowerPoint, Canva, Google Slides).

  5. Submit your work and prepare to present in class.
