PHOTOSYNTHESIS

Introduction

“Have you ever wondered how plants make their own food? Imagine you’re a scientist exploring a mysterious forest where plants seem to glow at night! Your mission is to uncover the secrets of photosynthesis and explain how plants produce energy.”

Task

Students will work in groups to:

• Research the process of photosynthesis.

• Create an infographic or a short animated video explaining the process.

• Present their findings to the class.

Process

1. Step 1: Watch a short introductory video on photosynthesis.

2. Step 2: Read provided online articles and interactive resources.

3. Step 3: Conduct an experiment (e.g., observing plant oxygen release using an aquatic plant).

4. Step 4: Create a visual representation (infographic, presentation, or video).

5. Step 5: Present findings to the class and reflect on the process.

Evaluation

• Research quality (use of credible sources)

• Creativity & Presentation (clear visuals, engaging explanations)

• Collaboration & Participation (teamwork, contribution)

• Understanding of Concepts (accuracy, depth of explanation)

Conclusion

Through this WebQuest, you’ve uncovered how plants power life on Earth! Reflect on how photosynthesis impacts the environment and brainstorm ways humans can protect plant life.”
