Introduction
We use our senses every single day. How do our five senses help us learn about the world around us?
Learning Objective: Students will be able to indentify the five senses and describe how they help us understand the world.
Florida State Standards: SC.K.L.14.1: Reconignize the five senses and related body parts
Blooms Taxonomy Level : Applying & Understanding.
Task
Students will rotate through five centers in groups, each center will focus on one of the five senses.
Process
Students will spend 10 minutes at each center to explore different objects and activities.
They will use their observations to determine which sense they use based on the objects they interact with.
When they are done visiting all five centers, students will come together as a class to share their experience.
Evaluation
Students will be evaluated on participation & understanding.
Did they participate and work well with their group?
Did they correctly describe their senses ?
Conclusion
Students should be able to identify the five senses and what they do.
