The Water Cycle

Introduction

Hello scientists! Today we are going to learn about the water cycle. In this lesson, we will learn what evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection mean.

At the end of this lesson you will:

  • Learn what steps create the water cycle.
  • Create a chart with your group.
  • Then, as a group, present the chart to your classmates.
Task
  • Create a fun water cycle chart with your group using any medium (paint, marker, colored pencils, etc).
  • Present it to the class and explain each step.
Process

Click on the provided link and video, and review the material as a group.

  • Each group will be provided a piece of poster paper and has to come up with a creative chart of the water cycle using a medium of their choice (paint, marker, colored pencils, etc.)
  • Explain each stage of the water cycle in detail.
  • Explain which step of the water cycle was the most interesting to learn about.
  • Then present your group work in front of the class for around 3 - 5 minutes.
Evaluation

Rubric:

Presentation: 50 points

Chart: 25 point

Creativity: 25 points

Total that can be earned: 100 points
