Task

Task: For this project, you will be forming a group of 3 to create a PowerPoint. Your group will be assigned the union or confederacy. You will have to do research, answer questions, and create an outline for your PowerPoint. Once your outline and research are done you will transfer all of it to your PowerPoint. When you have completed your PowerPoint you and your group members will present it.

Process

Research and Outline: Groups will research and answer the following questions. Remember you are not just answering the questions, you are explaining and providing details.

Who? Who was a part of the Union/Confederacy? Who led them? Who were the prominent figures?

What? What were their goals? What battles did they win? What were their strategies? What effect did they have on the U.S.?

When? When did they form? When did they gain advantages?

Where? Where did most of their support come from?

Why? Why did they form?

How? How many casualties after the war? How did they win their battles? How did they lose/win the civil war?

Below are some reliable sources you can use for your research:

Powerpoint:

  1. Your first slide should be titled with your side, the Union or Confederacy. Make sure all group members' names are below the title.
  2. Next, you will make a slide for each question. For example, "Who?" would be your title with your questions, and responses below it.
  3. Your last slide will be titled "Works cited" providing the sources you used to do research.
  4. Your PowerPoint should consist of at least 8 slides. (including Title slide and works cited slide)
  5. Make sure you are using proper grammar and punctuation.
  6. Make the PowerPoint presentable. Include pictures, bullet points, animations, etc.
