Introduction

"You are an environmental scientist working for the Global Water Institute! A mysterious drought is affecting several countries, and your team must investigate how water moves through the environment. Your mission is to uncover the secrets of the water cycle and present your findings to help solve this crisis!"

Task

✔️ Goal: Students will research the stages of the water cycle and present their findings through a creative infographic or digital poster.

Process

1️⃣ Step 1: Explore & Research

  • Watch The Water Cycle Explained YouTube
  • Read NASA Climate Kids – The Water Cycle NASA
  • Explore National Geographic Kids – Water NatGeo

2️⃣ Step 2: Investigate & Organize Information

  • Identify the main stages of the water cycle: Evaporation, Condensation, Precipitation, Collection/Runoff.
  • Understand the role of the sun, gravity, and human impact on the water cycle.
  • Use notetaking tools (Google Docs, Padlet, or Canva) to organize findings.

3️⃣ Step 3: Create & Design the Infographic

  • Use Canva, Piktochart, or Google Slides to design the infographic.
  • Include clear labels, visuals, and brief explanations for each stage.

4️⃣ Step 4: Present & Reflect

  • Each group will present their infographic to the class.
  • Reflect: How does understanding the water cycle help us manage water resources?
