Welcome everyone!
Every story we read has specific elements which are known as the story elements which are specifically: The characters, setting, plot, conflict, and the resolution. All are joined in a story together to make it fun and enjoyable for all of us to read.
In this WebQuest you will be getting the chance to get introduced to these story elements, you will have to choose a story , read it critically, extract out it's story elements and fill them up in a map.
By doing this WebQuest, you will gain a deeper comprehension of how to read a story and understand its elements, and to know what to look at exactly in a story.
Task
Once you successfully complete the WebQuest you will be able to :
- Determine a story's main elements: Characters, setting, plot, conflict , and resolution.
- Choose a story to read, and extract the it's story elements.
- Create a story map to demonstrate your understanding of the concept.
- Present your work in a poster.
Process

First step : Get to know more about the story elements
- Start by watching this video about story elements.
- Read this article that explains each story element.
- By the help and usage of the video and the article above define each story element's meaning and each one's significance in the story.
Second step:
- Choose a story from the stories below and listen to it carefully:
While watching the video jot down some notes you think you might use later.
Third Step:
- Use this Story element's map to fill out each element based on the story you have chosen from the ones above:

Fourth step:
- To gather the findings you have come up with while completing the map and to be able to present them in front of the class, create a poster about the story elements in the story you chose, make sure you use your creativity in forming it and designing it.

Fifth Step:
- Present in class your poster and the story you chose, and discuss with the class more about what you have learned about story elements and their significance in the story.
