Introduction
As summer days are fast approaching, the demand in electricity consumption will definitely go up. Power outages have been a familiar scene in our country. This poses risk of loss in business establishments, hospitals and public safety will be at risk. Most of all, the comfort we are experiencing in our own homes will be sabotage.
Visualize that you are in a Special Research Group funded and supported by the government to solve or find solution for the electricity shortage that our country is currently facing.
Task
In this activity, the students will explore and probe different solutions in using renewable energies to close the gap between the consumption and demand of electrical energy. They will conduct in-depth research and make a video presentation using Canva or a slide show using Microsoft Powerpoint.
Process
1. Identify the objective in the task, which is looking for different renewable energies to directly rectify the electrical shortage problem.
2. Conduct data collection and in-depth research. Search for articles, blogs, and other OERs as basis.
3. Analyze and interpret the collected data.
4. Make a conclusion.
5. Create a video presentation using Canva or slideshow by Microsoft Powerpoint.

Conclusion
Job well done! You have completed the WebQuest on searching for solutions in addressing the electrical energy shortage in our country!
By accepting your role and actively participating on this Special Research Group, you have successfully provided solutions in using different renewable energies to solve our problem.
In this Activity, you;
- Researched the reasons and possible solutions in solving the electrical energy shortage using renewable energies.
- Analyzed data and information from different reliable sources.
- Created a video or slideshow presenting various renewable energy solutions.
- Come up with findings and conclusion.
Reflections
Ponder about the following questions:
- What are the reasons why there is a shortage of electricity?
- How does this shortage affects the community and the world as a whole?
- How can you in your own little way help conserve electrical energy?
- How did you use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze and interpret the data that you gathered?
- What challenges did you face during the activity, and how did you overcome them?
- How can you use the learnings that you’ve acquired in this activity into the real-world scenario?
