The Matching Game!

Introduction

In this lesson, we will discuss on how to count up to ten along with matching the picture to the numbers. 

This lesson will help the students understand and remember the counting numbers up to ten.  We can also identify if any students needs help learning and understanding the numbers from one to ten. This lesson plan incorporate 2.1 Learner, 2.3A create positive experience.

Task

When given, flash cards with the number 1-10 written on them, the student will put the number in the correct ascending order to create 100% mastery.

After organizing the numbers, the child will then, match the image on the flash card to the correct number.

Process

1. Students will pair up into groups of two. They will be given five minutes to start by introducing themself by saying their name, favorite color, and their favorite animal as a ice breaker.

2. Teacher will hand out 10 flash cards. Each flash cards has the number one through ten, the student's must reorganize and put the numbers in order from least to greatest.

3. After completing step number two, with the help of their peers, the student will then receive flash card with images and they must count together how many pictures they see on the card and match that number to the correct number flash cards. 

4.Once they've match the quantity in the images to the numbers, they not only have identify the number one through ten but also learned to match by counting.

Evaluation

From this lesson, we can monitor if they can count to the number 10, If they can match the number to the correct picture, as well as if they can organize from least to greatest. By completing this assignment, we can then help determine if necessary to incorporate more counting numbers if a student seems to have difficulty comprehending the lesson.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we were able to help the student learn to count to ten along with help match the drawing on the card to the number cards. With the lesson plan we help improve the child counting skills from one to ten.  Watching the children use their team skills we can monitor we has mastery skills and who is lacking comprehension. This lesson plan is a great way to help the child branch out of their comfort zone and interaction with their peers while creating friendships, bonds and excitement.
