Introduction
Today, you will learn about how Americans lived and suffered during the Great Depression in the 1930's. While analyzing the horror stories of many employees being laid off, the stock market crash, loss of life savings, and farmers leaving their land, due to ruined crops of the dust storm; we will be discussing the causes of the Great Depression and if it was inevitable or not. The main goal of this WebQuest is for you to be able to explain the environmental, economic, and social impact of American society during the Great Depression.
Task

During this WebQuest, you are welcome to work individually or with a partner, however, you or you and your partner will have many different tasks. There will be many different videos to explore and websites to investigate, in which you will need to pay close attention, in order to understand and adequately obtain the knowledge and details the Great Depression. While analyzing those websites and listening to those videos, it is strongly recommended that you record notes on the important aspects that may stand out to you. When the WebQuest is complete, you will be required to answer a combination of ten multiple choice and short answer questions, following a summary of how the Great Depression affected minorities and women, and if the Great Depression was inevitable.
Process
To start off your WebQuest, you will need to read pages 364-383, in our Prentice Hall: United States History- Reconstruction to Present textbook.
Next you will need to watch a series of videos, in which will guide you through the how the Great Depression came about and the outcomes and experiences following the Great Depression.

Once you have completed your reading and videos, you will then gather the notes you have taken to answer the following combination of ten multiple choice and short answer questions, which will be in schoology, and you will develop your summary of how the Great Depression affected minorities and women, and if the Great Depression was inevitable in a word document.

Conclusion
Now that you have completed your WebQuest, take a moment to deflect what mostly intrigued you, based upon the reading and videos. As the president of the United States, what are some things you would have done to help through the hard time and struggles of the Great Depression? What are some thing you would have done as a women or minority during the Great Depression? Do you appreciate how times are today compared to the Great Depression? Would you like to learn more about United States History?
Moreover, there are many more aspects to learn when it comes to the Great Depression like, the many New Deals created by president FDR, in which improved the United States to pick up and renew itself, which is really interesting because many of these new deals we still use today.
