Introduction
(USG.3) Students will learn about the basic structure and function of the United States Government and how It is ran. They will research the 3 branches of the government and how checks and balances work to control power. The students will also learn about their relationship to each other, and how they have to work together to run a successful government.
*Objectives: The students will complete all research and pass the quiz at the end with no lower than C letter grade. !!!
The students will work individually to do this research but come together with a partner throughout the class for a check on learning and lessons learned. The main key to this assignment is to have a strong understanding of the structure of government and how having different powers of government is necessary to keep the country running.
Task
TASK: You will click the links and read the information or watch the videos that will provide you with the information that will be on the quiz at the end. I encourage you to take notes and discuss anything that you find important with your partner. If you do not understand anything that you are researching, ask your partner for help before raising your hand and asking the teacher. I encourage you not to worry about the quiz at the end of the lesson, but focus on the information that is being provided to you in the links and videos.
