Introduction
Welcome to the wonderful world of poetry!
In this WebQuest, you will explore various forms of poetry, analyze the elements that make poems impactful, and create your own poetic masterpiece. Through collaborative activities, research, and creative expression, you will discover how poetry reflects emotions, experiences, and cultures.
Why do we need to study poetry? Robin Williams states it best! Watch the video below :)
Task
You will work in small groups to:
- Familiarize yourself with basic poetry elements.
- Research different forms of poetry (e.g., haiku, sonnet, free verse, spoken word).
- Analyze selected poems to identify themes, literary devices, and emotional impact.
- Create a collaborative poetry anthology, featuring original poems written by each group member.
- Present your findings and poetry to the class.

- Use of literary devices (metaphor, simile, imagery, etc.)
- Emotional impact on the reader
- Create a visual representation (poster or digital slide) of your analysis.
Task 4: Present Your Work
