The Clever Crow Video and Questions

Introduction

Hello Students!

 

Today we are going to watch some short videos and answer some questions about them on the Smartboard. Pay attention! 

Task

Your goal is to answer questions about the story. After watching the video twice, you will come up to the Smartboard one by one and choose the right answer using the pictures and symbols shown on the board.

Process

  • Watch the Video:

  • Log in to N2Y:

    • After watching the video, students will log into News2You (N2Y) using the following link: N2Y Board.
    • While the link is for members only, I have provided pictures of the questions and answers for evaluation purposes. The actual questions and answers were created using SymbolStix.

  • Answer Questions on the Smartboard:

    • After accessing the N2Y page, students will to answer questions displayed on the Smartboard. These questions, created by the teacher using SymbolStix, to assess understanding of the video.
    • The questions will have visual answer choices, and students will be called up one at a time to interact with the Smartboard and select their answers using either a touchscreen or mouse.

  • Individual Participation:

    • Students will be given verbal or modeling prompts, but the goal is to encourage independent responses.
Evaluation

Evaluation Criteria for Student Responses:

  • 4 points: Fully independent response with no assistance.
  • 3 points: Responds with verbal reminders.
  • 2 points: Requires modeling of the correct response (errorless learning).
  • 1 point: Partial Physical Prompting
  • 0 points: No response or requires Full Physical Prompting.
