Introduction
In this WebQuest, students will learn how to a persuasive essay paper on a book they have read.
Task
Students pick a book to read and then will write a persuasive essay arguing their opinion on a certain point of the book.
Process
First, students will choose a book to read out of these three options: The Magician's Nephew, Number the Stars, and The Secret Garden.
After they have read whichever book they chose, they pick a decision made by one of the characters and decide whether the character should have made that decision or not. They will then write a persuasive essay arguing their stance on the character's decision.
Evaluation
Students will be graded on how clear their essay is, whether they had strong adjectives, verbs, or adverbs, and how well supported their argument is.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the students should have successfully written a well-argued persuasive essay.
