Introduction
Grade two students will be introduced to the parts of a plant.
There are three main parts of a plant, the root, stem and leaf.
Task
Students will be asked to unscrambled the pieces of plant puzzle to create a complete image of a plant.
Process
1. Students will be introduced to a real plant
2. Students and teacher will identify and discuss the plant together
3. Students will follow a link to a Youtube video that identifies the parts of the plant as well as their functions.
Evaluation
Teacher will check each child to ensure that the plant puzzle is assembled correctly as well as to take note of the time each child takes to complete the task.
Conclusion
Students were able to complete the plant puzzle and identify the different parts of the plant.
