Introduction

In this WebQuest you will explore the Mediterranean Diet, its historical roots, its traditional agricultural practices and its impact on modern cuisine.

Task

Through this Webquest students will explore how the Mediterranean Diet reflects regional identity and promotes cultural continuity. They will:

  1. Watch and reflect on videos to understand the benefits and significance of locally developed products as cultural symbols.

  2. Research one Mediterranean country in depth, focusing on its history, food practices, festivities and traditions.

  3. Share your findings on a collaborative Padlet in any form they wish (text, images or multimedia).

  4. Discuss in the class on how the Mediterranean Diet serves as a living expression of heritage and community across the Mediterranean region.
