Introduce Soccer PowerPoint Below

Task
1. How many players are on the field for each team?
2. What position is allowed to use their hands?
3. Point to the part of your foot that you should pass the ball with.
Process

After presenting the powerpoint and have the student answer questions, I would have the students break off into groups of two and grab a soccer ball. While they are doing this, I would set up cones about 10 feet apart directly across from each other and have the students work on passing and receiving the ball with the inside of their foot. I will also be providing verbal feedback and demonstrating how to pass and receive a ball for students who might be struggling to do the drill.
Evaluation
To evaluate student performance, I will be observing their technique during the drill and offer feedback when needed. At the end of the class, we will end up breaking up the class into teams of 11 to simulate an actual game setting that would evaluate how the students pass. It may be more difficult for the students, but I am looking for whether or not they attempt to use the correct technique while passing and receiving, rather than the effectiveness of their technique.
Conclusion
My goal for these students was to introduce them to soccer and have them learn the fundamental skill of passing a ball with the correct technique. I also wanted them to learn the benefits of working with a team toward a common goal.
