Process

You will use your book and guiding questions to help you become more familiar and allow you to better understand what your school year will look like.

Answer the following questions:

What is the first part of your unit called?

Every unit has an introductory activity. What are the activities based on?

What is the first thing you see before each text that requires you to rate words?

What does the book tell you that you are rating the words for?

As you read, there are activities in the margin of the texts. What are they called?

What is the point of these activities?

After each text, there are two sets of questions. What is the first set called? The second set? What does the second set require you to do?

What is the second part of your unit called?

What are the major differences you notice in the first part of this unit versus the second part?

What are the most crucial and important differences you notice?

What is the activity that comes before each text?

What are the activities you are asked to do as you move through the text?

After you finish reading, what does the book ask you to do? Why does it tell you this is important?

What is the last part of the unit called?

What does this part of the unit require you to do?

What does you book tell you about this part?
