Global Issues in Education

Introduction

Global Issues are occurring in all walks of life. This is WebQuest is designed to help individuals to see how global issues exist in the classroom. A classroom is faced with Global issues, but it they can be overcome with listening, thinking, and understanding different cultures that are part of a classroom. It is so important to learn through a peaceful education using different content, books, and understanding of different languages and cultures. 

Task

The task of the WebQuest is to talk about the Global Issues that can arise in the classroom and how to overcome the Global issues in the classroom. Students are faced with many different Global issues in the classroom. The different Global Issues that this article brings up is equality, equity, and inclusive societies. The task is to help students achieve learning and promote a peaceful way in the community and classroom. 

Process

1. The first lesson is to teach about how to work through and address Global issues that can take place within the classroom so that a peaceful education is achieved. The teacher will show students a video of a meditation peaceful song, so it sets the scene for teaching peace through global issues. 

2. The second activity is to ask students to think about the attitude and values that they have as a person. 

3. The third activity if for students to complete an online activity which is a virtual field trips to other countries of the cultures within your classroom. The students will draw a picture of their virtual trip into another country. National Geographic field trips

4. The fourth activity if for students to complete a parent project of creating a family tree to share their culture with their classmates in the classroom. Popplet to create the Family Tree

5. The fifth activity if for students to make a vision board of a how they think a classroom should embrace different cultures within the upcoming years of their educational career. Vision Board created through Sketch on Ipad

Evaluation

The Evaluation for this WebQuest Activity is based on different percentages for Grading

First Activity Participation (5%)

Second Activity Participation (5%)

Third Activity (15%)

Fourth Activity (25%)

Fifth Activity (50%)

 

 

 

Conclusion

An inclusive school culture means that everyone in our school community is respected (Gorski, 2016). The school community will do their best to understand new cultures, languages, and abilities of students so that everyone can be supported within our community (Felix, 2022). A classroom is faced with many different Global Issues (Akbana, 2022). The students within in a classroom speak different languages and come from different cultures, but it is the process of understanding and producing different content that produces an amazing peaceful education for students (Akbana, 2022).
