'On his Blindness' by John Milton

Introduction

Today we are going to learn about the poem 'On His Blindness' written  by John Milton. He is considered one of the greatest poets in English Literature. He is famous for his epic 'Paradise Lost'. Though he was one of the greatest scholars, his eyesight didn't last for long. The sonnet 'On His Blindness' was published in 1653. It is a Petrarchan Sonnet which is divided into 2 parts Octave (8 lines) and sestet (6 lines).
