National holidays are a big part of the culture of any country.
We know a lot about holidays in Russia, we often talked about holidays in the UK, today we will get acquainted with the national holidays of the USA.
Task
Today's Goal:
To explore and learn more about our national holidays in the USA and why they are celebrated. We will also try to find similar holidays in Russia.

Steps:
1. The class should be divided into six groups.

5. Think about which holiday in Russia has similar reasons or history.

Evaluation
To turn in:
1. You will create a poster on your national holiday.
2. Make sure to include:
- The name of your holiday
- When it is celebrated
- Why it is celebrated
- Which holiday in Russia has similar reasons or history
3. When you are finished, make sure to write your name on the back and turn it in on my desk.
4. When you are all done, we will have a poster show and learn more about American culture and holidays.
