Process
You will first watch a video on the Human Body Systems. While watching this video there are questioned to be answered along with the video. Then once you have finished that you will move on to a link that has a diagram of some of the different organs. There are questions you will have to answer with that diagram. You will look at each organ and try to match each question with the right organ. You will then complete a short description of each organ system.
Evaluation
The evaluation of their knowledge of the human organ systems. They will give a small explanation of each system to the best of their ability.
Please give a brief description of each of the 11 organ systems.
1. Circulatory: Responsible for moving blood throughout the body, includes the heart and veins.
2. Digestive: Breaks down and absorbs water and important nutrients.
3. Endocrine: Releases hormones for body growth and functions.
4. Excretory: The excretory gets rid of waste from the body, like toxins, not feces.
5. Integumentary: Is meant as protection against outside dangers, includes the skin.
6. Lymphatic: Better known as the immune system filters out infections and viruses.
7. Muscular: Helps the body move.
8. Nervous: Is involved in voluntary and involuntary movements. Brain and the spinal cord are responsible for this.
9. Reproductive: Reproduction is its only function.
10.Respiratory: Exchange of gases. Oxygen in, carbon dioxide out.
11. Skeletal: Hold and protects all the vital organs. while also give the muscular system something to adhere to.
Conclusion
The human body is very complex with its 11 different systems that it can seem overwhelming. Hopefully this activity has helped you to start to understand the human body systems and how they all work together to continue important daily processes.
