Process

Present Perfect Simple                                                                                                                                                   12min

We use the present perfect simple to talk about things that happened in the past but we don’t know or say exactly when, things that happened in the past but have a result in the present, states and time periods that are not finished, experiences, and things that happened a short time ago.

My father has been a teacher for twenty years.

They’ve travelled around the world helping others.

I’ve just thanked my teacher for being so amazing!

Be careful!

We use have been to talk about someone who went to a place and has already returned. We use have gone to talk about someone who went to a place and hasn’t returned yet.

They’ve been to the supermarket, and they’re tidying up the kitchen now.

They aren’t tidying up the kitchen. They’ve gone to the supermarket.

Remember-we can use already, ever, for, how long …..?, just, never, since and yet with the present perfect simple.

Evaluation

I'm gonna grade my students based on their performance by looking how they are on individual work, their attention and how they behave towards each other.

Conclusion

By the end of the lecture they will be able to know how to use Present Perfect, and 80% of my students' will try to spread happiness and make someone smile, and they will be nicer to each other.
