Welcome to this WebQuest exploration!
This WebQuest is made to provide insights about the effects of drug abuse on youth. Over the years, illegal drugs and drug addiction have been considered major problems in the Philippines. This issue has grown a lot in our society affecting many people especially the youth. In the Philippines, drug use and abuse is a social and health concern. The problem in the family relationship and poverty became a reason to get involved in the illegal drug trade.
In this WebQuest you are going to have a group activity regarding the effects of drug abuse.
Task
You will be working in two groups and do the following:
1. Each group will create a script about the effects of drugs on youth.
2. After making a script, assign each group members to act in a role play.
3. At the end of the role play, each group will choose a representative who will share the lessons they learned from their play and present one (1) advocacy on drug addiction prevention specifically for youth.

Conclusion
The purpose of this WebQuest is to demonstrate the effects of drug use and abuse to everyone and to enlighten their minds by giving the result of using this illicit drugs. Life is too short to just ruin it in some lame excuses. Life is difficult and challenging however, you must also realize that you only make things worse and ultimately you are the only reason why you suffer and experience how miserable life is. Young people are vulnerable to this type of vice and each of us are responsible to help our youth today to avoid this type of addiction. Finally, by completing this WebQuest learners are now equipped with the knowledge and motivation to participate in every activity related to drug prevention.
