Dream vacation: Road Trip in Canada

Introduction

This planning guide will be useful when outlining a Canadian road trip. Canada is great to discover by car or RV!

A road trip through Canada involves travelling many miles; nevertheless the driving is very relaxed.

Just turn on some great road trip music, enjoy a few snacks, and put on your cruise control. ...there you go!

I have lived in Europe most of my life. Traffic over there is hectic compared to travel in Canada.

In general, Canadian road users are patient; they tend to keep a safe distance and are pretty easy-going.

Task

As a team of 5 (one you and 4 team members), plan a seven-day road trip across Canada. You have to present to class, in order to persuade others to join your team.

First, you will use resources that will help you gather information to help you plan and organize your road trip. Then, you will use this information to create a Google Slides presentation that talks about your trip. Remember to keep track of all websites you consult or quote.

The presentation will include:

  1. a cover page,
  2. a map showing your destination and the route you will take.
  3. an itinerary telling what all you will do and how you will spend your days at the destination or along the way.
  4. a few reasons why you recommend the class to join your group (your opinion)
  5. cite all of your sources.

1. Team 1: Road Trip Ontario and Quebec: Starting and ending in multicultural Toronto, capital city of Ontario.

2. Team 2: Road trip ideas for Alberta, Canada: The majestic Rocky Mountains, vivid, turquoise-colored lakes, wild roaring rivers, ancient moving glaciers, good chances to spot wildlife.

3. Team 3: Road trip ideas for British Columbia, Canada: Get the best out of your travel in the beautiful British Columbia, Canada.

4. Team 3: Travel across the East coast of Canada: Many Canadians add it to their bucket list. A -once in a lifetime- cross Canada road trip; from the Wild Pacific to the North Atlantic Ocean, from Toronto to Halifax via New Brunswick.

Conclusion

Most families do not get into their car, start driving and then decide where to go on vacation. Like many other things in life, it takes some advance planning in order to have an enjoyable vacation.

It is important that you plan a road trip in advance to ensure you will have a fun and safe trip. In addition, you need to make sure that you have carefully planned all activities, accommodations (hotels) and transportation for your vacation.

Now that you have planned a vacation, let your family know that you are ready with a great vacation for your family next summer!
