Title: Vocabulary with Basic sentences
Grade level- EC- 6
Lesson time: 50 minutes
Task
Central focus - A new concept of teaching will be introducing the use of learning new vocabulary words to help form sentences.
1. The central focus on this everyday learning segment for students will be able to comprehend sentence structure while focusing/ learning new vocabulary words. While encouraging students to actively help each other throughout the lesson, with group work and individual activities.
They will be able to understand and answer questions over the small passages. And experience multiple choice questions during a small group discussion activity. Students will use selections of the readings from their source of text, as well as writing prompts and techniques that will assist in expanding their critical thinking skills. This will allow the students to make connections between their short readings and their own personal experiences.

Students should be able to follow along and interact with the lesson online.
Be prepared for a follow up review and accomplish a score over 90% over the assessment they must complete.
And be able to help their fellow classmates as well.

Text complexity increases with challenging vocabulary, sophisticated sentence structures, nuanced text features, cognitively demanding content, and subtle relationships among ideas (Texas Education Agency, STAAR Performance Level Descriptors, 2013). As skills and knowledge are obtained in each of the seven strands, students will continue to apply earlier standards with greater depth to increasingly complex texts in multiple genres as they become self-directed, critical learners who work collaboratively while continuously using metacognitive skills.
