Content of the Course:
Elements of the Pronunciation System with Pictures
This section has the content required for this course. Picture 1 gives the illustration of the pronunciation system with picture. The system entails three key practical elements that the learner needs to know to correctly produce the pronunciation of the words having that sound.
Element 1 is a picture that represents the sound of the GREEN TEA /i/. Element 2 suggests that the learner should establish a connection between the spelling patterns and the picture and element 3 is all the spelling patterns that represent that skill or vowel. The graph suggests that once the student knows the pronunciation of the picture representing a vowel and connects it with its spelling patterns, the learner will definitely improve their pronunciation.
How the pronunciation system with Picture and Patterns work:
The video below shows how students should use the pronunciation system to improve their pronunciation. This course only covers two skills or two vowel sounds. The Green Tea /i/ and the Silver Pin /I/.
Skill #1: Green Tea /i/
This section has what the learner needs to acquire the pronunciation of skill #1 through a short video that teaches the sound of the /i/ and the common spelling patterns in which we find that skill. The text also provides exceptions and illustrates those exceptions with its corresponding picture as well. Illustrating the exceptions with a picture tells students how the RL and the LTH influence this particular skill. Furthermore, it has some words and sentences for practice.
