Conclusion
Think about all the various forces and systems that have shaped your worldview ever since you were a toddler watching a Disney animated movie. The forces and systems of power have informed our understanding of history both implicitly and explicitly which can cause us to have unconscious biases. I challenge you to think critically about what narratives you are listening to to inform your understanding of history; be willing to look at multiple sources and opinions. Be willing to sit and listen to a point of view that you are unfamiliar with. If you look for what you want to believe you will be able to find it. Be prisoners of hope!
