Diseases of history are different to today... aren't they?

Introduction

Today we will be learning all there is to know about smallpox, bubonic plague and the Spanish Flu. 

Task

In pairs choose one of either Spanish Flu, Bubonic plague or Smallpox and learn all there is to know about when they occurred, how they affected the body and civilisations as a whole, and how through scientific discovery and intervention these diseases have been managed or eradicated in todays' society. You will then be required to 'teach' 4 others in a 3 minute presentation showcasing your new found knowledge and understanding.

Conclusion

As a class we will now discuss how the discovery of treatments for these diseases relates to modern management of disease outbreak.
