Introduction
You will create your own planet! What is it made of, what is the weather like, are there oceans? These are all things you will have to decide. We have discussed the solar system and the planets in class, but you will get to make your own, and place it within our solar system, taking into consideration the surrounding planets.
Task
You Will:
- Research each planet of the solar system, and use the information you gather to decide how you want to make your planet.
- Decide the planet's name, size, shape, and similar details (oceans, land, ice, etc.).
- Draw your planet.
- Write a journal entry (1-page, double-spaced) detailing a day in the life of one of your planet's citizens.
- Create a model of your planet out of the materials provided in the classroom.
- Create a PowerPoint presentation sharing the details of your planet with the class!
Process
You will become a researcher, thinker, designer, and creator in order to complete this webquest.
