Introduction
Throughout the world there are many different ways that minority groups are mistreated and misrepresented. In the United States alone, Black Americans make up 38% of the people incarcerated, yet Black Americans make up roughly 13% of the United States population. If the laws were enforced equally across all racial groups, the total percentage of Black Americans and the percentage of incarcerated Black Americans would be equal or at least very similar.
This does not just occur in the United States though, groups are treated this way all across the world. Society is set up in a manner in which some groups have more opportunities and are better set up for success than others.
