SOAK UP!

Introduction

As some investigations show us, nowadays we have a variety of models to develop learning skills based on specific characteristics on every personality. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is one of them which said that on a learning process anybody could achieve a topic through three possible types such as Kinaesthetic, Auditory and Visual ways of learning.

In this activity we would try to improve our capacity of memory with auditory strategies using videos about compilations of some scenes of the TV show “Friends” to increase phrasal verbs on vocabulary.

Task

In this WebQuest, with your partner, you would learn some phrasal verbs that you probably do not already know and also you can start to use in your daily routines with your friends or family (informal contexts).

Once you are finished with this assignment, you would try with your partner to create a conversation using the phrasal verbs given.

Enjoy it!

Process

You should heard careffully because the video is going to be play twice at least and with the words you got you must write it down on a piece of paper to use them later on a free conversation.

Evaluation

At the end of the activity video, every partner is going to have five minutes to create a conversation or show the conversation already created to the rest of the class, showing that they achieved how to use those phrasal verbs.

Conclusion

The reflection is to analyze the different ways to learn new vocabulary of a second language using alternative strategies that could change the traditional form of practicing, in this case, English as a Second Language.
