Introduction
World War I. What caused it, who was involved, how it was fought, how it ended, and the lasting effect for the twentieth century. Each class will begin with vocabulary. Moving into lecture with a PowerPoint presentation. This is followed by paired reading of the chapter and answer the questions at the end of the chapter. Day two includes a video from the History Channel and the end of day three we will have a test review.

Process
Each class will begin with reviewing the vocabulary list, add new words if necessary. Move into lecture of a PowerPoint presentation followed by paired reading of the chapter. On the third day test review before class ends.
Evaluation
Students will answer the chapter questions after reading the chapter in pairs. On the third day students will review for the test the next day with an oral assessment.
Conclusion
By the end of the lesson students will have an understanding of World War I. What caused it, who was involved, why it ended, and the lasting effect on the world.

Utah Education Network. (2020). Causes of WWI. https://www.uen.org/lessonplan/view/23806 This is more for a teacher writing a lesson plan. It provides a guideline on direction and activities for the students to do.
Britannica Kids. (2023). World War I. https://kids.britannica.com/kids/article/World-War-I/353933 Provides short articles with links to additional information. Great information. Lacks entertainment value. But overall good information.
