Introduction
Welcome, dear students. 😎
Many people are on social media, maybe on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, or others, or maybe on many of them at the same time. They usually spend lots of time scrolling without any sense. This behavior provokes negative effects on people, mostly when it becomes an everyday activity, those could be mainly directed to mental health, among those are: distraction, unrealistic views of the world, or sleep disruption.
On the other hand, when learning a language we usually forget many things, that is why, in this lesson, we are going to reflect on the negative effects of social media and a quite important grammatical aspect, which is kind of nous.
Let's dive into it. 💥🤨📵😉💥

Task
At the beginning of this activity, you are going to work alone, however, there will be an opportunity to be in groups to find help and to better our lesson making it more interesting. You will have 1 hour and a half to develop the steps, and you will have the teacher help with the main part of it. Please just use what is presented here, you will have all of the resources to learn, and enjoy this activity as much as possible.
In this task, you will remember or learn about different kinds of nouns through an important topic, which is social media and mental health relationship. At the end of this lesson 📕 you are going to be able to differentiate kinds of nous while reflecting on your social media 🧨 uses.
What are we going to do?
Improve our vocabulary (mainly nous) and reflect on the dark influence of social media.
You are going to find each step on the next page, so do not worry, and enjoy this. 😏🙌🐱🐉
Process
1. You are going to watch a video about social media, you will be free to choose one of the next; furthermore, you may turn subtitles on. 😀
2. Write all of the words you can remember from the video. Those must be nouns. You have to write a least 15 nouns.
To check types of nous you can visit:
https://socratic.org/questions/what-are-the-seven-kinds-of-nouns
https://www.fluentu.com/blog/english/types-of-nouns-in-english/
3. Write each word separating them according to the kind of noun they are.
You must say whether one is an abstract, collective, compound, and so on. It does not matter if there are many of them in the same category.
- In this part, you can call for the teacher's hand.
4. In this opportunity you must be in groups. Each group is conformed of 3 students. 50 minutes after this lesson begins, each group ought to be done.
5. In the group, one student has to be selected, and the rest of the group has to choose one word from any list, except the chosen student's list.
6. You are going to dictate that word, but in a way that person can draw it, which means he or she has to make a representation of it. When a person finishes, the rest of the group has to do the same.
After all, in your group, you are going to discuss what becomes predominant to avoid social media life control, for instance: awareness, time, and technological education.
