Introduction

This WebQuest introduces music and dance in Europe's various cultures. We will watch videos and discuss what was seen and heard. This activity is part of the Erasmus KA229 project: "EUROPE: The Puzzle of Diversity".

You are about to start your journey inside and outside Europe! Click on the video links to view the videos from different cultures around the world. Be sure to follow instructions in the "Process" tab. Enjoy exploring!

Process

STEP 1. Decide on ONE country, watch the video and try to answer questions as you go.

STEP 2. After you answer all questions decide how you would like to present your experience.

IN YOUR PRESENTATION EXPLAIN...

What country did you choose?

What instruments could you recognize?

Did they dance?

How were they dressed?

Was the tempo fast, medium, or slow?

Do you think you will ever listen to this type of music again?

What did you like/dislike about this cultural music?

Were these people happy or sad?

How did the music make you feel?

 

IN THE FORM OF... 

-Poster - Describe what you have seen in the videos through pictures.

-Video - Reenact your music culture with access to instruments and costumes.  

-Power point - Get digitally creative.

-Write a paper. 

Use MUSIC, PICTURES, VIDEOS, COLOUR, and IMAGINATION in your presentation!
