The United Nations

Introduction

The United Nations is a body of several member states agreeing together on certain political, economic, and environmental agenda. In this course, you will learn about the United Nations as a driving force for individual freedom and the advancement of human rights. As a learner, you are to asses what it is which drives countries to form alliances in pursuit of better future and integral development.

Task

Map the development of the United Nations and the reasons why countries chose to become members of such alliance.

Process

Make a concept map of the different development of the UN by pointing out the reasons for such developments. Start from the inception and follow through the different milestones such as the introduction of Human Rights and end with the 2030 Agenda.

Conclusion

The many development introduced by the UN has impacted not only our country but the world. Through its inception after the Second World War, the UN has since given the world several concept to safeguard peace and the dignity of the human person. Without the UN, there would not be a concept of Human Rights, social progress for all and nations will not be working for better standards of living. Today, the UN has given its members states 17 goals to work on for the 2030 Agenda. May we also work on this as we envision a better Philippines.
