A WORLD WITHOUT SIMPLE MACHINES? OH NO, HELP!

This webquest is design for grade four or grade 5  students.  The objectives of this webquest is for students to understand the importance of the six simple machines and be abled to discuss each.  Students will use higer order thinking to understand why we cannot do without these Simple Machines.





                                   

    Knowledge   

Students will define, collect and record  information

regarding the six (6) simple machines                   

  Comprehension

Students will describe the six (6) simple

machines and explain why they are important

parts of our everyday lives.

    Application

Students will use the knowledge that they

gain from researching the six (6) simple

machines and develop examples of

each machine.

    Analysis

Students will compare and interpret

the data that they found on the six (6)

simple machines.  Then choose one of the

simple machines to save.

   Synthesis

Students will prepare and propose a

creative presentation about one simple machine.

 They will explain why the simple machine

they chose is the most important one to be

saved from the alien.

   Evaluation

Students will determine which simple

machine they feel is the most important

and the one they feel needs to be

returned to the planet Earth.
