Introduction

Ribble has nine elements and the domain of (S3) framework, Be Safe, Be Savvy, Be Social.
We will be looking at the Domain & Element: Be Safe: Digital Law where users, whether it be students or other individuals, understands the rules and policies that govern technology uses and take electronic responsibility for actions and deeds in the online world.
Within society, the ethics of technology is dealt with Digital law. Any form of crime/ theft is a manifestation of Unethical use with technology. Ethical use in itself is when one abides by the laws of society.
Users need to understand that causing damage or stealing to other people’s property, identity or work online is a crime. Users need to be aware that there are certain rules to be aware of an ethical society.
These laws apply to anyone who plays or online. Hacking into others information, plagiarizing, downloading illegal music, creating viruses such as Trojan Horses or even destructive worms, sending spam, or stealing anyone’s identify or property is highly unethical.

For our activity, students should become familiar with some of the policies and rules that govern technology as well as become aware of some of the responsibilities that come with being a part of the online technological world.
For example: Questions such as (1) What is Internet Law? (2) Internet Laws regarding online privacy and (3) Security Protocol

Process
For this activity:
- the students will be in groups of 3 and are to research the rules and policies that govern technology uses.

- as well as 5 ways in which a user can be responsible when maneuvering within the online world.

- After collecting the information, they are to present it to the class in a 5-10 minute skit fully explaining what they learnt.

Conclusion
In this activity, the students should have learnt what the rules and policies associated with the technology/online world were as well as the responsibilities that are involved for its users.
Additionally, they should understand the importance of these things and apply it to their lives on a daily basis.
