Introduction
This lesson will be about the author William Faulkner. to complete the task you will need to read the 3 poems written by Faulkner throughout the website listed below. You will read the 3 poems and write a summary for each of them, then identify at least 2-3 pieces of figurative language in each poem and explain the significance of them.
Task
Students will use the link provided https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poets/william-faulkner. Through the link they will read the 3 poems provided at the end of website. They will then write a summary of each of the poems, then identify 3 pieces of figurative language for every poem then explain the significance of the figurative language in the poem.
At the end of the assignment the students should be able to clearly identify what type of poet and author William Faulkner was. The student will be able to feel the excitement about the author and be able to share their opinions on him to each other.
Process
Students will read the 3 poems by William Faulkner
Students will write a summary for each of the 3 poems
Students will then identify 3 pieces of figurative language for each poem
Students will then explain the significance of the figurative language they identifies for each poem
Students will then share their opinions on the author and his pieces
Evaluation
Students will be graded according on how quickly they complete their tasks. Students will be graded on their involvement and participation in class.
Conclusion
after the students' comparison and discussion of their findings and perspectives about the three poems. The instructor will urge the pupils to consider their thoughts on the lesson and suggestions for improvement.
