Ray Bradbury

Introduction

Ray Douglas Bradbury was born on August 22, 1920 in Waukegan, Illinois. His birth parents go by the name of Leonard Spaulding Bradbury and Ester Moberg Bradbury. His father worked as a lineman for power utilities while his mother was a Swedish housewife. (Biography, 2021) He was well-known for his creative short stories and dystopian novels that created lots of thematic lessons and real-world connections.

Process

As stated earlier, it's time to test your knowledge of Ray Bradbury! The following questions are stated:

  • How did Bradbury's childhood influence his decision of becoming a top-notched writer?
  • One of the author's famous novels is "Fahrenheit 451". This novel showed many signs of symbolism such as the fire representing death or even the rebirth of humanity. Think about any past or current historical event. Show a connection of symbolism at least once between the event and "Fahrenheit 451". 
  • At a young age, Bradbury was selling newspapers to try and earn as much as possible during the Great Depression. Do you think that the Great Depression had any part of Bradbury writing short-stories and fictional novels?
  • What significant awards did Mr. Bradbury obtain?
  • At what age did Ray Bradbury pass away?
  • All heroes whether they are dead or alive have a legacy. Kobe Byrant's legacy was being a two-time NBA Finals MVP. Mr. Beast's legacy is spending lots of money on Youtube videos in return of gaming more profit and fans each day. Michael Jackson's legacy was being the "King of Pop". In your own opinion, what legacy did Ray Bradbury leave in this world?
