Introduction
HELP! You work at the Nashville Zoo and the zookeeper needs your assistance. It is almost time to open the zoo and all of the animals have not been fed. Your job is to feed the lions, the kangaroos, and the bears before the visitors arrive.
First, you need to do some research on the three types of consumers. An animal can classify as herbivore, carnivore, and omnivore then decide what category each animal goes under.
In summary, here are the goals that you need to work for to complete this mission.
- You need to research the three different types of consumers (herbivore, carnivore, and omnivore).
- Use the provided resources to look into the diets of lions, kangaroos, and bears.
- Categorize each animal based on their eating habits.
- Write a paragraph about what you learn about each animal.
Task
Your task is to help the zookeeper feed the animals before the Nashville Zoo opens. You need to do research on the types of animal consumers and what each one means. Once you have figured out what they are, then you should focus on what consumer type lions, kangaroos, and bears are. You are to write a paragraph identifying each of the 3 animals as a herbivore, carnivore, or omnivore. You should give some information on their eating habits and give some examples of what they like to eat. There are resources that you can use to better your knowledge of these animals. There are videos and articles included to help guide you.
Process
1. You will be given the list of animals that are needing to be fed (lions, kangaroos, bears).
2. You will go to your own desk/computer and begin your task.
3. Research and define the three consumer types.
4. After you are more knowledgeable of the different types of consumers, start researching more information on lions, kangaroos, and bears.
5. Study the animals eating habits and their diet.
6. Decide which animal falls under each consumer type and write a paragraph about what you learned about each of the three animals.
GOAL 1: Your first goal is to figure out what each consumer type is and what it means.

GOAL 3: Your final goal is to write a paragraph explaining each animals' classification and what you learned about their choices of food. It is okay to write more than a paragraph if you need.

You have made sure today's visitors will have a great time seeing the animals roam happily. You did a great job researching the animals and the different consumer types. It is safe to say you have obtained a lot of information on these animals and their daily eating habits. Now, you should make a trip to the zoo and share all of the new knowledge you have gained.
